Twitter is trying to monetize their business. They've determined they need to control the Twitter stream viewing experience as much as possible. That's their right. It doesn't mean the life of a Twitter client developer doesn't suck.
MacRumors has created a very nice video to show how the reported 4" iPhone screen would look running a selection of apps. It doesn't look half bad and will be very nice in certain apps. My biggest concern is the annoyance created by apps that don't get updated and need to run letter boxed. I know they'll be every bit as useful as always, but they'll look terrible.
Mac Rumors has a a gallery of pictures of what is supposed to be the next generation iPhone compared to it's predecessors. I really like the design. It's incredibly thin and a great evolution of the brand. It's also remarkable just how fat the 3GS is It's even more incredible that people ar still buying that model today!
Marco Arment has seen a couple new devices show up in Instapaper's stats. He's speculating that they're the yet to be announced "iPad Mini". He offers some interesting speculation on what could be in store. Rumor has it we'll now for sure in less than 60 days.
If the latest story published by infoAppleStore.com is to be believed, Apple under Tim Cook is shifting the focus of their amazing retail stores away from customer experience towards the bottom line. If this were to happen under a normal CEO with an operations background, it would be very credible.
But this is Tim Cook we're talking about. The same guy who worked with Steve for all those years. The same guy who always mentions the satisfaction of Apple customers in every interview or public statement. I don't believe it. But maybe it's because I don't want to. If true, it's a canary in the coal mine. The first tangible proof that Apple's success in the absence of Steve is fragile.
Regardless, the situation warrants a close eye.
Apple has pushed out an iTunes Festival app to the AppleTV to enable live streaming of there annual month long live concert series. Mac Rumors has the details.
I think additions of content like this will be something AppleTV users see on a regular basis as Apple builds content on the platform.

Marco Arment writes about his experience using the Retina MacBook Pro while on vacation from his beloved Mac Pro.
I'm dying to get a Retina model Apple computer, but seeing as my 15" MacBook Pro is only a bit more than a year old, it will be a little while. I think it will work out great in the end. By the time I'm ready to pull the trigger, SSD storage in usable capacities will fall drastically in price and the UI lag will disappear.

There will be much said and written about the verdict in the Apple v. Samsung trial concluded yesterday. People's opinions are widely divergent, but early on it seems that opposite ends of the spectrum are represented well in the writings of both Andy Inhatko and Marco Arment.
I come down on Marco's side on this one.
