This story at App Advice about a new iOS app is easily the best thing I read all day.

Federico Vitacci highlights what is, for me, a real source of annoyance with gestured multitasking on the iPad. The lag when switching apps. I've never had a problem with the lack of true multitasking, but if Apple could speed up the switching process it woud make me very happy.
There's an eternal battle in the electronics business between profits and market share. Benedict Evans explores this idea in the context of a cheaper iPhone.
There's a raging battle in the user interface design arena. At the extremes it's a battle between 'flat' design at one end and 'skeuomorphic' design at the other. Sacha Greif has written a very nice piece on the subject. It's a long read, but it's bursting with great information and well reasoned thoughts.
Hat tip to Shawn Blanc
Shawn Blanc nails what has transformed the iPad into the device it is today. I love that Apple pours every ounce of energy they do into product design. I truly believe there aren't many better products made today. But in the end, it's not the physical device, or the specs.
It really is about the apps. Apple simply designs the best platform for software developers to work their magic.
Dave Caolo has a brief, but I believe insightful thought about the rumored Apple iWatch.
Hat tip to The Loop
Renee Ritchie puts pen to paper on the topic of what user is most important to Apple. He uses the terms 'Power User' & 'Empowered Users' to roughly describe two camps. I think they're well chosen descriptions and I found the thoughts very interesting.
Asymco's Horace Dediu takes a look at Apple's iTunes & Accessory business in light of their new reporting scheme. It's a big business that only looks small in comparison to Apple's other business. Most every company would kill to own only this revenue.
MacSparky links to an older podcast from Merlin Mann and John Gruber. It's a fantastic podcast that you should listen to.
If you hate email as much as I do, and use Gmail for your mail service, maybe there's a little relief in sight. The new iOS mail app, Mailbox, is available in the App Store. Hurry over and download it to reserve your place in line. Because there is a server side component to the application, they're letting people in slowly. I'm currently about 30,000th in line, with another 500,000+ waiting after me.
This won't be the answer to all the problems I have with email, but any help is appreciated.
